Planning to go to a church planting conference at Antioch Community Church in Waco Texas.  A few years back I heard Pator Jimmy Sieber from the church speaking on intimacy with God and church planting.  Changed my life in terms of spending time with the Father.  Always been wanting to visit Antioch.  So this is the perfect opportunity.  So excited...
Here is the conference URL in case anyone is interested

Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, a Young Man, and Life's Greatest Lesson

Goodness!  It's been 2 months since the last update!  Haven't been reading the subscription either.  Been pretty swamped lately, but a breakthrough in the swampedness!  REST, yes REST.  The Lord showed me that our greatest endeavor is to trust and rest in Him and let Him carry us to the destination.  Humm..., it really takes trust to be able to rest.  So, I lay it down. =)

Somethings that is going on.  Our start-up GAMDAN is going well.  We have the marketing package together, customer matrix and the website almost done.  Our facility is under lease now.  And the R&D project is going well.  We are planning for a tradeshow coming Jan, 2008, yeah!

We are praying about launching a small group for international students coming Oct/Nov.  Never done this before.  Really want to go and plant churches aboard someday, so why not start here.

Taking mom to church regularly right now.  It's truly a miracle!  Praying for my parents for years. Just want to see them coming to trust the greatest Father of them all.  Coming to him, all the fears, doubts, shame, guilt, all that black and grey stuff all get vaporized.  That is great stuff. =)

Taking a class on muslim, called Encounter the World of Islam.  Awesome material, can't wait to go home and read the book...

I think I got tagged on xanga. 1st time for this, okay here we go.
What was the question?

Instructions: Name 10 of life's simple pleasures that you like the most, then pick 10 people to do the same. Try to be original and creative; try not to use things that someone else has already used.

1) ice cream on sunday afternoons
2) falling asleep on my favorite chair
3) summer evening walks in the neighborhood
4) reading a good book
5) National geographic
6) airports
7) kayaking on still waters
8) talking to my best friend
9) BBQ ribeye steak
1) worshipping, anytime

Making Jesus Lord: The Dynamic Power of Laying Down Your Rights (From Loren Cunningham)

Laying it down

My Choice (written in the 60s, feel free to modernize)

I want my breakfast served at eight
with ham and eggs upon the plate
a well broiled steak I'll eat at one
and dine again when the day is done

I want an ultra modern home
and in each room a telephone
soft carpets, too, upon the floors
and pretty drapes to grace the doors

a cozy place of lovely things
like easy chairs with innersprings
and then I'll get a small TV(plasma now)
of course I'm careful what I see

I want my wardrobe, too, to be
of neatest, finest quality
with latest styles in suit and vest
why shouldn't christians have the best?

But then the Master I can hear
In no uncertain voice, so clear
I bid you come and follow me
The lowly Man of Galilee

Birds of the air have made their nest
and foxes in their hole find rest
But I can offer you no bed
No place have I to lay my head

In shame I hung my head and cried
How could I spurn the Crucified
Could I forget the way He went,
The sleepless nights in prayer He spent

For forty daud without a bite
alone He fasted day and night
Despised, rejected - On He went
and did not stop til veil He rent

A man of sorrows and of grief
No earthly friend to bring relief
"Smitten of God," the prophet said
Mocked, beaten, bruised, His blood ran red

If He be God and died for me,
No sacrifice too great can be
For me, a mortal man(woman), to make
I'll do it all for Jesus sake

Yes, i will tread the path He trod
No other way will please my God;
So henceforth, this my choice shall be
My choice for all eternity.

Amen! Let it be, whoever you want, whereever you want, whatever you want.
Lord, give me courage to lay it all down!

Grand Canyon

Took a trip to Grand Canyon this past weekend.  It was beautiful.  Geoff, check out the photos I took.  I really like them.  I've never thought about photography before, but I'm liking it more and more.  These I took with the most basic 3.2 M point and shoot.   I love nature scenes!

The first few pics are from prayer mountain, Santa Cruz, my favorite spot for personal retreat.  The rest are from grand canyon.  Too bad I didn't have camera with me when I watched the sunset.
